Guest Resources

Welcome to Lavender Manor! We look forwarding to welcoming you to an upcoming event.

Lavender Manor Guest Information

Lavender Manor is a private estate designed specifically for weddings. Guests enjoy sweeping countryside views, landscaped gardens, and one of the region’s largest covered reception tents. During lavender bloom season the estate is filled with fragrance and color, creating a truly unforgettable setting.
Lavender Manor offers many beautiful photo locations, including the lavender fields (when in bloom), the ceremony lawn, the flower garden, the willow tree, and scenic sunset viewpoints. Guests are welcome to capture photos throughout the estate, and we kindly ask that private areas and vendor workspaces remain undisturbed during the celebration.

Planning Your Visit

  1. Is the lavender blooming during my visit?
Lavender bloom typically occurs from June through early August, depending on the season. Even outside of bloom, the estate remains beautifully landscaped for weddings and events.
  2. Are guests welcome to take photos at Lavender Manor?
Yes. Guests are welcome to take photos throughout the estate and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Lavender Manor offers many picturesque locations including the lavender fields (when in bloom), gardens, the willow tree, and scenic sunset viewpoints. We love seeing the memories captured here and kindly ask that private areas and vendor workspaces remain undisturbed during the celebration.
  3. Will GPS bring me to the venue?
Yes, but we recommend entering the name of our venue, “Lavender Manor,” into your GPS before departing, as cell service may vary in rural areas. This will bring you directly to the venue.
  4. What kind of shoes should I wear?
We recommend flats or wedge shoes. Heels for women can be more challenging because our parking lot is gravel and heels in the grass can stick or break. If you plan to wear heels, we suggest chunky heels or wedges.
  5. What should I bring for comfort?
Depending on the weather, guests may wish to bring:
    • Sunglasses
    • Sunscreen
    • A light jacket, sweater, or shawl for evening temperatures
    • If rain is expected, a clear umbrella may be helpful

Arrival & Parking

  1. When should guests arrive?
Guests should plan to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony start time. This allows time to park, walk to the ceremony site, and be seated before the ceremony begins.
  2. Where should guests park?
Guest parking is available in our designated gravel parking area. Parking attendants will be onsite to guide you when you arrive. Please follow their directions to ensure smooth traffic flow.
  3. Can rideshares or taxis access the venue?
Yes. Uber, Lyft, and taxis can drop off and pick up guests at the front entrance. Because of our rural location, rideshare pricing may be higher than in town.
  4. Can I leave my car overnight?
Yes. If you choose not to drive after the reception, you may leave your vehicle overnight. Vehicles must be picked up by 10:00 AM the following morning, or additional fees may apply.
  5. What if I need to leave before the celebration ends?
Guests are welcome to depart at any time if needed. For the comfort of all guests and to avoid disrupting the celebration, we ask that vehicles exit slowly and follow the directions of our parking attendants if they are present.

Ceremony Information

  1. What are the options regarding the sun?
Covered lounge areas are available for early-arriving guests. The ceremony is held on the lawn in the sun unless the couple chooses to hold their ceremony under our 3,200-square-foot tent. The reception will be held under the tented area.
  2. What happens if I arrive late?
Out of respect for the couple, late arrivals may be asked to wait until an appropriate break in the ceremony before being seated.
  3. Can guests take photos during the ceremony?
Many couples choose an “unplugged ceremony.” Please follow the instructions provided by the officiant or couple regarding photography.
  4. Should guests silence their phones?
Yes. Please silence phones before the ceremony begins.

Guest Comfort

  1. Is the wedding outdoors?
Yes. The ceremony takes place on the lawn unless the couple chooses to use the tent. Receptions are held under our large tented pavilion. Even during warm summer days, evening temperatures can cool quickly after sunset. Guests may wish to bring a light jacket or shawl for later in the evening.
  2. What do you do when it is an extra hot day?
Every effort is made to keep guests comfortable with electric fans stationed throughout the tented area. Guests who are sensitive to heat are welcome to remain in their air-conditioned vehicles until closer to ceremony time.
  3. Is the venue accessible for guests with mobility concerns?
Some areas of the property include grass, gravel paths, and gentle slopes. Guests who require easier access may be dropped off near the ceremony site. Our building has a four-foot sidewalk around the entire perimeter, and the tented and lounge areas are located on concrete surfaces.
  4. Are restrooms available?
Yes. Restrooms are available for guest use throughout the event.
  5. Is there a quiet place to step away?
Yes. Our covered lounge areas and garden seating spaces provide places for guests who wish to step away from the music or enjoy a quiet conversation. There is also an area with farm tables on the east side of the building with benches facing the expansive view overlooking Wildrose Prairie with the Selkirk Mountains in the background.

Reception & Celebration

  1. Do your caterers prepare for food allergies?
Our caterers offer options for various food allergies. If we are informed about allergy requirements or preferences, every effort will be made to accommodate them.
  2. Where should gifts or cards be placed?
A gift and card table will be available in the reception area.
  3. What time does the celebration end?
Most celebrations conclude around 9:00–9:30 PM. Final music will occur shortly before the evening concludes.

Venue Policies

  1. Do you allow alcohol?
Our couples provide beer, wine, champagne, wine coolers, seltzers, and/or ciders that they choose to offer their guests. Hard liquor is not permitted on the estate. All alcohol must be served by licensed bartenders hired through the venue. Our bartenders carry the required MAST permit, business license, and insurance.
  2. Are children allowed at the venue?
As a venue we do not restrict children on the property during a wedding or reception. This decision is made by the wedding couple. If the couple allows children at their event, they must be supervised at all times. Some areas of the property include hillside drop-offs and uneven terrain.
  3. Is smoking allowed?
Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated areas. Please dispose of cigarettes responsibly.
  4. Are pets allowed?
Pets are only permitted if they are part of the wedding ceremony and approved by the couple. Otherwise, pets should not be brought to the venue.
  5. What happens if it rains?
Lavender Manor has a large covered tent that can accommodate ceremonies and receptions if needed.
